Happy Birthday to Me

This month is the one year anniversary since I moved into the 21st century and started blogging, tweeting, and posting on Facebook.

And I have thoroughly enjoyed the past year.

It has been great to read your comments and questions.  Please keep them coming.  And please keep up the great work as you serve our Lord in the multiplication of disciples, leaders, and churches.

In honor of this occasion, I have included a link to my first post HERE for your reading pleasure. 🙂

While I still do very little with FB, I do try to keep you in the know of interesting materials via Twitter.  I made a promise one year ago (after entering into the Twitter world kicking and screaming) that I would be one who sends out the tweets with links to other resources and book quotes.  I promised to avoid the mundane.  I have never tweeted about the color of my socks, stopped during family meal time to share with you about the wonderful time we were having over pasta, or interrupted my date night to send out a tweet telling you how hot my wife looks.  First, I don’t think you really care about such stuff.  Second, if you want to know this stuff about me, go old school and send me an email.  But I’ll probably think you are weird and not respond.

Thank you for your prayers and words of encouragement.  Lord willing, I am looking forward to continue  writing here at Missiologically Thinking in 2011.  My problem is that I have so much that I want to share with you I have a difficult time finding the time to write.  While I have not always been able to post 2-3 times each week, I have accomplished this goal more times than not.  I will attempt to continue this practice this year.  Please note, if I am not posting that often, I am generally under a writing deadline for a book or article.  But even during this time, you are on my mind. 🙂

As always, if this blog and my tweets have been beneficial to you, please spread the word in your social networks.  I would definitely appreciate it.

Take care, friends.  Thank you for being with me in 2010.

J. D.
