Evangelical Missiological Society

I plan to be in Columbia, South Carolina on Saturday. The Southeast Region of the Evangelical Missiological Society will be gathering on the campus of Columbia International University. This year’s theme is Reconciliation and Mission. We will hear a plenary address (Danny McCain) and numerous breakout presentations. If you are interested in the papers being presented, download the schedule HERE.

If you are not a member of EMS, I want to encourage you to join. This is the largest professional society of evangelical missiologists, mission leaders, and missionaries in the United States. The annual fee is small (especially for students–and we want students!). Regional meetings are held each year throughout the United States, Canada, and around the world and address a cutting-edge topics influencing the Church and her global work.

An annual meeting of the entire society occurs in the fall. Membership also includes a copy of the annual EMS monograph which is a publication (with William Carey) of selected research papers from the annual gathering. Other membership questions may be found HERE.

Check out the EMS site. If you have questions about membership, the society, etc., let me know.
