Personal Update

Proverbs states, "Let another praise you, and not your own mouth; a stranger, and not your own lips" (27:2). At the risk of tooting my own horn, I want to share this article from Samford University.

Seven years ago, I had the delight of helping launch the university's Department of Christian Ministry under the leadership of Scott Guffin. The Lord has done, and continues to do, amazing things as we work to train students to lead and make disciples of all nations at home and abroad. In fact, if you know a high school student sensing a call to vocational ministry, reach out to me. I would love to talk with him or her about training and earning an undergraduate degree through our department.

As I begin my eighth year with the school, I have been appointed to the Bozeman Chair of Christian Ministry. HERE is an article on the details. In the near future, you will begin to see some exciting things both at the blog and with my podcast Strike the Match with J. D. Payne. Stay tuned!
